Just a reminder (as if you needed any reminding), that this week’s top of the table clash with Park Langley could be important.
With PL top gun Gina away on World Junior duty in Namibia, and Knole troops recalled from the holiday front, it could be the same match ups as the home game, when PL just prevailed 3-2.
So some overturning is required, especially at 2 & 3, where David and James appear to be enjoying a resurgence in form.
Recent form guide:
Peter (W 8 L 3 ranking 3311) Simon (W 7 L 5 ranking 2704)
Peter’s recent blip should be sorted, provided he has been eating well
David (W 9 L 1 ranking 3218) Kevin (W 7 L 2 ranking 2438)
David’s only loss of the season to Kevin will be an added spur to the revenge trail
James (W 6 L 5 ranking 2956) Stuart (W 9 L 1 ranking 2938)
James the man in form – on paper the tightest match of the night - could go either way
Niall (W 6 L 2 ranking 2555) Dave (W 9 L 0 ranking 3375)
Whoever plays Dave will have their work cut out, but he did fail to show one time for PL which cost them valuable points
Mike (W8 L 2 ranking 2033) Andy (W 6 L 3 ranking 1532)
The Sly Fox* Andy not punching his weight this season will find Mike a handful
If any of these PL players are missing, Gerald Tredinnick or Mike Collins will step in. Gerald is a canny veteran, but if he or Mike Collins has to play, the balance of power should shift in KP’s favour.
* The reason Andy is called The Sly Fox is obvious - he likes to fox his opponents by juggling his trump cards. With Super Man Dave injured or unfit for most of the past 10 years, Andy has had to do some fancy dancing. Can he pull a few more tricks out of the bag - or is it time to face the music?
