Not quite the earthquake anticipated - Mark Fleming met Pete Brightwell in the revival of the Open Plate (for first round losers in the Club Championship). Pete was suffering from a mystery slowing disease or allergy that prevented him from fulfilling his potential on this occasion - Mark winning 9/6 10/9 9/3.
Tomorrow Thursday 1st May sees the Final of the Club Championship proper - Peter Sykes takes on Veteran Champion David Falconer at 7:30 and a large crowd is expected.
